A living model of the organization.

Particulars connects every team’s purpose, work, outcomes, and authority into a usable, useful model of the whole company. As a result, every team, every human, and every agent gets smarter from the choices they make and the relationships around them.

01

A living home for every team

Teams are more than their conversations and outputs. Particulars connects to where teams work to build a living image of each team’s structure and the organization it helps form. Teams can do this manually or with the help of built-in, privacy-respecting AI.

02

Connected beyond reporting lines

Imagine a payments team that depends on identity, risk, finance, and support—none of which are in their reporting line. Particulars connects the dots between teams and helps everybody understand how to work better together.

03

Toward organizational superintelligence

Over (not very much) time, an organization using Particulars can build a collective wisdom that makes every future decision smarter, cuts time to market, and makes change easier, faster, and safer.

Short guides for great team structure

Anatomy

Foundations for faster, better teaming

Particulars builds around six interconnected basics that are relevant for every kind of team, from a Board of Directors to a team of Sales Reps. When teams start to capture and live by how they intend to operate, their performance improves. (We have never seen a counterexample here.)

01Team PurposeOne sentence: the reason the team exists and the outcome it owes the rest of the organization.
02Focus AreasThe durable territories the team gives sustained attention. Projects change; focus areas should explain the work beneath them.
03MeasuresThe signals that tell the team whether its work is changing the world in the intended direction. Leading, lagging, quantitative, or observed.
04Decision RightsFor each recurring decision: who Decides, who is Informed, who is Consulted, and who Executes. Authority becomes explicit and testable.
05RolesUnits of work with a focus, interfaces, and a filler. A role may be held by a person, an agent, several people, or nobody yet.
06GuidelinesThe local rules that help the team act well without asking permission each time. Short enough to remember. Easy enough to change.
Evidence

Build your model manually, or get some help

Particulars does not replace Slack, Google Drive, Linear, or the other tools where work happens. With your permission, it connects to them and uses that work to keep a living model of the company current.

SlackLive today

Read connected channel history. Draft charters. Find decisions. Notice changes in roles, focus, and interfaces. Return observations with enough context for an editor to verify them.

Google DriveLive today

Use folder metadata and editor activity as review evidence. File contents and email addresses stay out.

LinearComing next

Compare projects and issues with stated responsibilities. See where work accumulates, where ownership is unclear, and where the official structure has fallen behind.

See where the charter has drifted from the work.

Once connected to your systems, Particulars can compare what you’ve written down to what’s actually happening. It can then operate as a coach to help the team get better over time.

Decisions

Become world-class at decision-making

When something is hard, people will avoid it to reduce pain. Particulars makes hard decisions easier by making it clearer who owns what, checking decisions against what’s already been decided, and connecting the dots from one side of the org to the other.

History

See what changed, who changed it, and why.

Every change to the model comes with a version, a named author, and a readable diff. See how a team’s purpose, focus, authority, roles, and measures evolved. Restore an earlier version. Stop wondering if org changes led to improved performance.

“The useful unit is not the org chart. It is the smallest truthful model of the work.”
